The insulation

Ecological and performing

Constantly on the look-out for innovative materials and attentive to aspects such as a healthy living environment, MBA GREEN BUILDTM uses glass wool insulation panels, with a zero-formaldehyde inorganic binder, and an A1 fire reaction classification.
An important technical aspect is that the surface of each panel is reinforced by a glass layer, having the same insulating characteristics, which renders it rigid and protects it against dimpling throughout its service life.

In our insulation

Formaldehyde free

Formaldehyde is the simplest and most common aldehyde present in indoor air, it is colourless and has a strong pungent odour.
Its main sources among building materials are plywood panels, particle board, chipboard, OSB and all materials with silicone-based or chemical resin binders, such as wood fibre or rock wool insulation.
Formaldehyde, whose emissions are also influenced by factors such as temperature and humidity, can cause irritation to the eyes, and the mucous membranes if inhaled, at airborne concentrations exceeding 0.1 ppm, and is considered a hazardous substance for human health, due its possible short and long-term effects on the respiratory system, which may even become chronic, in susceptible or heavily exposed subjects.
